Robert U. Moll was born July 16, 1952. He attended the parochial school and high school in Mascoutah, and graduated from SIU Mortuary Science Program in Carbondale, IL in 1972. After serving his apprenticeship in funeral service, he received his funeral director and embalming license in 1973. Robert started working for his grandfather, Emmett, as a young man and continued working for his father, Daniel, until his death in 1985. After Daniel’s death, Robert purchased the business as a sole proprietorship and continued it until his brother, Steven, joined the business. Robert married Debra A. Oppermann on February 19, 1977 and they have 2 children, Chad and Tiffany, and her husband, Gene Meurer, and seven grandchildren, Laura, Randi, Mathan, Keagan, Evelyn, Hazel, and Sylvia. Robert is also active in community organizations and activities and continues to do so.
Steven T. Moll was born on December 2, 1962. He attended the parochial school and high school in Mascoutah, and graduated from SIU Mortuary Science Program in Carbondale, IL in 1985. After serving his apprenticeship in funeral service, Steve received his funeral director and embalming license in 1986. Steve worked in the business with his grandfather Emmett and his father Daniel, before he joined with his brother, Robert. In 1992, Robert and Steve became partners and formed a corporation now known as Moll Funeral Home, Ltd. Robert retired on July 31, 2018 and Steve became the sole owner of Moll Funeral Home, Ltd. Steve married Lisa A. Guy on September 19, 1987 and they have two sets of twins, Westley and wife Caitlyn, Kyle and wife Kayla, Anthony, and Gabrielle, three grandsons Kolten, Grayson, Klay and a granddaughter, Eleanor.
Hayden O. Farmer was born on August 13, 1992. He attended Massac County High School in Metropolis, IL, and graduated from SIU Mortuary Science Program in Carbondale, IL in 2016. He started his apprenticeship in the summer of 2016 with Moll Funeral Home; upon completion, Hayden received his funeral director and embalming license in 2017. He then joined Bob and Steve full-time, and became a resident of Mascoutah along with his wife, son, and daughter, Alexandria, Emmett, and Evelyn Farmer.
Anna L. Schmersahl was born April 11, 2002. She attended Okawville Jr/Sr High School in Okawville, IL, and graduated from SIU Mortuary Science Program in Carbondale, IL in May of 2024. She started her internship in January of 2024 with Moll Funeral Home and is continuing with her apprenticeship that started in the summer of 2024. Anna received her funeral directing and embalming apprenticeship license in September and is working as a full-time apprentice with Hayden Farmer and Steve Moll. She became a resident of Mascoutah along with her mother, Kimberly Schmersahl.
