Debbie S. Scroggins

Debbie S. Scroggins, nee Schanz, 61, of Mascoutah, IL, born Nov.17, 1956 in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, Mar. 28, 2018 at the home of her son, Shawn, in Shiloh, IL.

Debbie was a homemaker, and a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.  She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her two grandchildren, especially teaching and watching her granddaughter, Caelan, ride her horse, Sundance, at Deer Creek Stables.  Debbie was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Delores, nee Vahlkamp, Schanz, her husband, Roger D. Scroggins, whom she married at Scott Air Force Base on Sept. 1, 1995 and who died September 10, 2012; the father of her son, Terry Beach; a sister, Carol Bell; a brother, Donald Schanz; a sister-in-law, Laurie Schanz; and a brother-in-law, Harry Scroggins.

Debbie is survived by her son, Shawn (Elisha) Beach, of Shiloh, IL; two grandchildren, Caelan and Tristan Beach; brothers and sisters; Paul (Cindy) Schanz of Mascoutah, IL, Charles (Sue) Schanz of Summerfield, FL, Richard (Cindi) Schanz of Mascoutah, IL; Barbara (Mark) Potts of Red Bud, IL, Nancy Barker of Belleville, IL, Sylvia (Joe) Seper of Shiloh, IL, Janice (Gary) Gould of Belleville, IL; and Mark (Patti) Schanz of Mascoutah, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl Bell of Victoria, TX, Christina Schanz of Florida, Danny (Terri) Scroggins of St. Louis, MO, David (Carla) Scroggins of Orlando, FL, and Amber Scroggins of Arkansas; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation: visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Apr. 2, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 3, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home with Father Jim Deiters officiating.  Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery in Mascoutah, IL.
