Karen S. Wilhelm

Karen S. Wilhelm, nee DeGroote, 54, of Belleville, IL, born Dec. 28, 1958 in St. Louis, MO, died Monday, July 22, 2013 at her residence.

Karen worked as a medical biller at Illinois Oncology.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harlan E. DeGroote.

She is survived by her husband, Michael E. Wilhelm, whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on Nov. 15, 1980; two children, Michelle (Will) Prince of O’Fallon, IL, and Robert Wilhelm and girlfriend Leia Lockhart of Belleville, IL; a grandson, Andrew Prince; her mother, Evelyn M., nee Barkema, DeGroote of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters, Marilyn (Mark) Green of Swansea, IL, and Lea Ann (Henry) Felts of Belleville, IL; a brother, Steven DeGroote of Mascoutah, IL; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Visitation: from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home with Chaplain Jason Vinson officiating. Private burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
