William J “Bill” Rasch, 84, of Monroe City, MO formerly of Mascoutah IL, born Jan. 16, 1939, in Mascoutah, IL, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at Monroe City Manor, Monroe City, MO.

Bill was a retired meat cutter from Schnucks and a member of the Meat Cutter’s Union.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Bertha C., nee Kraudel, Rasch Shaw, stepfather, Lester Shaw, sister, Joan (Bo) Bauchman and brother, Ben Rasch.

He is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Larry) Forbis of Monroe City, MO; two sons, Chet Rasch of Monroe City, MO, Patrick Rasch of Hannibal, MO; seven grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; three brothers, David (Lynette) Rasch, Jerry (Nancy) Rasch, Kenny Shaw; a sister, Gina (John) Schwartz; sister-in-law, Carol Rasch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com.

VISITATION: From 10 AM to 11 AM Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
