Warren C. Klingel, 93, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept 6, 1929, in Engelmann Twp., IL died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, at Memorial East Hospital, Shiloh, IL.
Warren was the owner and operator of Modern Gas and Supply in Mascoutah. He was a school bus driver for the Mascoutah School District 19 for over 40 years and was a past director of transportation for the district. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, American Legion Post 292, Moose Lodge 815, Mascoutah Lions Club, Mascoutah Volunteer Fire Department, charter member and past president for the Mascoutah Improvement Association, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Warren never met a stranger and in his leisure time enjoyed gardening and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lloyd and Bertha Louisa, nee Kraske, Klingel, his wife, Barbara “Bobby,” nee Comstock, Klingel whom he married on June 7, 1952, in Fairbanks, AK and who passed away on June 29, 2021.
Surviving are his three children, Patricia Cooper, Pamela Cribbs, Roger (Tammy) Klingel; six grandchildren, Douglas (Michelle) Riddle, Kristina Riddle, Brian (Ashley) Cribbs, Beth Ann (Jason) Leonard, Michelle Klingel and Jessica (Rick) Fagan; seven great grandchildren, Caleb and Ethan Riddle, Callie and Cora Leonard, Owen and Abbigail Fagan, Kennedy Cribbs; two sisters, Margie Mann and Ruth Stumpf; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: From 5:30 to 8:30 PM Sunday, November 27, 2022, and from 9 to 10 AM Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL. There will be a Mascoutah Fire Company walkthrough Sunday at 6:30 PM.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, at Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
