Tara Jean Lange, 47, of Stone Church, IL passed away at 5:14 PM Tuesday, Mar. 21, 2023, surrounded by family and love, at Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL. She was born Oct. 12, 1975, in Nashville, IL, the daughter of Donald Gene and Diane (Lake) Lange.
Tara graduated from Nashville Community High School in 1995 and began working and volunteering at Washington County Hospital. She LOVED her JOB in the laundry and housekeeping department and everyone she worked with. Tara was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL.
Tara enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel, eating out, enjoying a good margarita and of course her trademark Diet Coke. She spent many hours doing her Find a Word books and knitting baby caps, many of which were donated to the OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois NICU or gifted to her cousins. Tara loved the St. Louis Cardinals and recently attended spring training in Jupiter, Florida with some of her favorite aunts and cousins. She also enjoyed watching NCAA Women’s basketball.
She was preceded in death by her dad, and her grandparents, Herbert and Mary Ellen Lake and Wilbert and Esther Lange.
Tara is survived by her mother, Diane; a sister, Kelly (Brian) George of Peoria, IL; a brother, Joe (Bridget) Lange of Oakdale, IL; five nephews, whom she loved to receive hugs from, Owen, Colin and Holden George, Jake and Brady Lange; very special aunts and uncles, David (Ruth) Lake, Dale (Mary Lou) Lake, Carol Maddock, Linda (John) Steinway, Michelle Lake, Sue (Bob) Schwankhaus, Robert (Dianna) Lange, Judy Grant; special godchild, Janel Koutnik; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation: From 9 to 11 AM Saturday, Mar. 25, 2023, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL.
Funeral : A funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Saturday, Mar. 25, 2023, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Christopher Anyanwu officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
