Ruth E Knipp

Ruth E. Knipp, nee Weil, 94, of New Baden, IL, born September 10, 1923 in Shiloh Valley Twp., IL died Monday, July 9, 2018 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL.

She was a beautician and homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Clara, nee Perschbacher, Weil, Sr., her husband, Lester H. Knipp whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on May 27, 1945 and who died May 3, 2001, her siblings, Elsie (John) Hock, Everett “Bud” (Loretta) Weil, Russell Weil, Irene French Underwood, Oscar (Martha) Weil, Jr., Harold (Shirley) Weil and Alice Radford.

She is survived by a brother, Floyd (Joan) Weil of Trenton, IL; a sister, Bernetta Radford of Cahokia, IL; a sister-in-law, Rose Weil of Granite City, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL and from 9 to 10 AM Friday, July 13 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Friday, July 13, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Kirk M. Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery
