Rose Mary Kehrer

Rose Mary Kehrer, nee Strautz, 81, of North Vernon, IN formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born June 29, 1936 in East St. Louis, IL died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Premier Healthcare of North Vernon.

Rose Mary was a retired cook from Mascoutah Community School District 19.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles P. and Ida K., nee Thoumer, Strautz, her husband, Edgar H. Kehrer whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on September 9, 1961 and who died June 29, 1989, a brother, Joseph Strautz in infancy, three sisters, Eileen Wagner, Theresa Hentzel, Helen Strautz in infancy, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Herb Hentzel and Norman (Arlene) Lembke.

Surviving are her children, Debbie Heumann (Wallace) of North Vernon, IN, Peggy (Jim) Smith of St. Louis, MO, Steven Kehrer of Laurel, MD, Cindy Rowland of Mascoutah, IL, Kenny (Michele) Kehrer of Mascoutah, IL; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Heumann, Christine (Sanjay Mohanty) Heumann, Ashlynn and Mikayla Smith, Jaclyn Rowland, Amanda Pedersen, Timothy, Hunter and Kennedi Kehrer; three great-grandchildren, Cayden, Landon and Maia; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Wagner of Hecker, IL.

VISITATION: Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
