Robert S Sigman

Robert S. “Bob” Sigman, 81, of Venedy, IL, born May 2, 1937 in Las Animas, CO died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Glen Carbon, IL.

Bob was proud that he lived on the farm in Venedy, IL for 72 years. He was a farmer, Johannisburg Township Road Commisioner for 30 years, and retired from Modern Foundry in Mascoutah, IL. He was a member of the Mascoutah Moose Lodge #815 and a U. S. Army veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Geneva R., nee Shelton, Sigman; his wife of 40 years, Bonnie, nee Davis, Sigman whom he married in Belleville, IL on January 27, 1962 and who died June 24, 2002; great grandson, Augustus Keith Greten; two brothers, Frank (Mable) Sigman and Ted Sigman; sister-in-law, Gloria Sigman; brother-in-law, Don Gramm; and special friend, Sharon Hufker.

Surviving are his children, Robert Sigman of Highland, IL, Rhonda (Mark) Greten of St. Libory, IL, Rachelle (Scott) Phillips of Glen Carbon, IL; grandchildren, Nicholas (Carmelita) Sigman, Jacob (Britney) Greten, Lucas (Lizzy) Greten, Zachary Greten and fiancé Katie, Phylesha Sigman, Freddie Sigman, Sabrena Sigman, Robert Sigman, Delaina Sigman, Julia Phillips and Logan Phillips; great grandchildren, Vanessa Sigman, Wyatt Greten, Dean Eisenhauer; brothers and sisters, Herb Sigman, Ruth Gramm, Mary (Brooks) Hatcher, Pat Sigman, John (Carolyn) Sigman, Joyce (Ralph) Ibendahl, Sherry (Mike) Hooper, Rick (Wanda) Sigman; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

VISITATION: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with Pastor Nancy Shubert officiating . Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
