Pearl M. Ballot

Pearl M. Ballot, nee Graul, 84, of Mascoutah, IL, born Mar. 21, 1933 in Engelmann Township, IL, died Tuesday, Mar. 6, 2018 at Aperion Care in Mascoutah, IL.

Pearl was a homemaker and lifetime member of St. John United Church of Christ and a member of the St. Clair County Genealogical Society.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elvira, nee Ohlendorf, Graul Sr., her husband, Charles J. Ballot, Jr. whom she married on Aug. 13, 1955 and who died February 24, 2014, two brothers, Albert Graul, Jr, and Curt Graul, sister, Edna Cole, and brother-in-law Chester Black.

Pearl is survived by four children, David A. (Elizabeth) Ballot, Sr. of Prince Frederick, MD, Steven A. (Donita Myers) Ballot of Richmond Heights, MO, Bryan A. (Charles Dahl) Ballot of Clearwater, FL, and Deborah L. (Ronnie) Thompson of East Alton, IL;  nine grandchildren, Denise (John) Christensen, David (Jessica) Ballot, Jr., Chelsey Ballot, Ashley Ballot, Emily (Daniel) Higgerson, Allen Horowitz, James Lee II, Emma Stark, and Everett Ballot;  four great grandchildren, Charles Ballot, Oliver Ballot, Jacob Christensen, Nolan Higgerson;  three sisters, Alice Black of Lafayette, IN, Carol (Ben) Rasch of Mascoutah, IL, and Nancy (Dave) Wambold of Mascoutah, IL; sisters-in-law, Frances Graul of Mascoutah, IL and Lorraine Dabney of Land O’Lakes, FL;  a brother-in-law, Phillip Cole of St. Louis, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
