Norbert T. Buss, 82, of Lively Grove, IL, born May 16, 1935 in Lively Grove, IL died Monday April 16, 2018 at his home.
He was a retired grain and dairy farmer; member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL; and long time trustee of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy C., nee Wuebbels, Buss whom he married in Damiansville, IL on June 5, 1957; a daughter, Jane Buss, grandsons, Thomas and Craig Buss, his parents, Michael and Catherine, nee Schulte, Buss, a brother, Gregor Buss, a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Surviving are his children, Marvin (Vicky) Buss, Janice (Steve) Friederich, Alan (Pam) Buss, all of Lively Grove, IL; eight grandchildren, Kim (Tim) Archibald, Tiffany Baumgartner, Danny (Katie) Friederich, Tim (Tosha) Friederich , Joey (Ashley) Friederich, Stephanie Friederich, Amber (Bobby) Statler, Megan Buss; four great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Brinley Statler, Lydia Baumgartner, Kolten Friederich; a brother, Leo Buss; sisters, Mary Ann (Jerome) Heckenkemper, Bernadine Meier; brother-in-law, Cyril Wuebbels; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 and from 9:30 to 11 AM Friday, April 20 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL with Father Tadeus “Tad” Gegotek officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Lively Grove, IL.
