Min Karen Johnson, nee Schuessler, 70, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Min was born on May 1, 1953, in Belleville, IL the daughter of Stanley O Schuessler, Elva W (Borrenpohl) Schuessler, and Martha M (Haier) Schuessler. On November 29, 1996, she married the love of her life, Joseph O Johnson, Sr. in St Libory, IL, and he survives her passing. Min was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. Min’s children and grandchildren were the light of her world, and she dearly loved her many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Min’s career included working for Peabody Energy Co. for over 24 years and later at the Village Bank for over 15 years. She attended St. Liborius Catholic Church and participated in many of the church functions as well as many community events.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Danny T Schuessler, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Otto and Marcella Johnson, two brothers-in-law, Henry Johnson and Lloyd Sandheinrich, a nephew, Lucas S Schuessler, and a niece, Kelly L Yoch.
Survivors include her husband, her daughters, Kristine L Shea (Tunstell Dent) and Jesica M (Jansen) Dennis; her sons, Joseph O Johnson, Jr. (Wendy Forsythe) and Jacen O (Amy) Johnson; grandchildren, Hayden Shea (Grace Grimshaw), Gregory Adams, Siera (James) Gregory, Rane Dennis (Sloane Curtis), and Giles Johnson; great-grandchild, Zhayd Shea and another blessing due in May; her siblings, Steven (Gayle) Schuessler, S. Keith (Sharon) Schuessler, Debbie (Bill) Koetting, Vince Schuessler, Brett (Theresa) Schuessler, and Tiffany (Todd) Parker; aunts and uncle, Eula Haier and Shirley (Dan) Hoepker; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patricia Sandheinrich, Otto (Janice) Johnson, Kathleen (Roger) Cook, Michael (Donna) Johnson, and Cynthia (Arnold) Schmale.

FUNERAL: A funeral Mass will be held 11:30 AM Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, at St Liborius Catholic Church with Father Paul Wienhoff celebrating. Burial will follow in the St Liborius Catholic Cemetery.
