Michael J. “Mike” Hougland, Jr., 46, of Mascoutah, IL, born Nov. 20, 1977, in Fort Hood, TX, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.
Mike was a hardworking man who had a successful career at Reinhold Electric. He was a kind, considerate, and compassionate man. He loved hunting and fishing and had a passion for Mtn. Dew. Above everything, his family was his number one priority. Mike was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah and the Tri County Bass Club.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edmond Brunt and Louise Sansone, paternal grandparents, Adam and Dorothy Hougland, brother, Jonathan Hougland, and brother-in-law, Vernon Schulte.
He is survived by his parents, Michael J. and Marianne L., nee Brunt, Hougland, Sr.; his wife, Patricia A. “Tricia,” nee Williams, Hougland, whom he married on Aug. 10, 2002 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL; two children, Lenzi and Clae Hougland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Shannon and Carolyn Williams; two sisters-in-law, Deana (Stan) Hatfield, Tina Schulte; brother-in-law, Shannon (Sandra) Williams, Jr.; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews,.

FUNERAL: A funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Father Mark Stec celebrating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
