Michael A. D'Avy

Michael A. D’Avy, 65, of Belleville, IL, born Feb. 18, 1958, in Houma, LA, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at St. Paul’s Senior Living Center, Belleville, IL.

Michael was a retired custodian for T. S. Cooley Magnet School in Lake Charles, LA, where he leaves many friends and loved ones.  He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL, and the Knights of Columbus Council 4380.  Mike loved music, children, animals, being outdoors, old movies and tv shows, and taking long drives enjoying the open road.  Mike enjoyed the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gael Y. and Lynn L., nee LeBlanc, D’Avy.

Surviving is his sister, Jeanine (Gerard) Bulber of Belleville, IL; nephew and godson, Evan Bulber of Madrid, Spain; nephews, Aaron, Benjamin, and Colin Tanner of Lake Charles, LA; and special friends, Angie Schmitt and Jose' Baca of Lake Charles, LA; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his friends and neighbors at Wingate Manor.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who helped care for Mike during this time, especially Fresenius Dialysis of O'Fallon, Belleville Memorial Hospital, and St. Paul's Senior Living Center.
