Marvin E Watschinger

Marvin E. Watschinger, 73, of Mascoutah, IL born March 18, 1946 in Belleville, IL died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 at his home.

He was a retired systems analyst for Merchantile Bank and also worked at Dierbergs in Shiloh. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL; American Legion Post 292; former member of the Barber Shoppers Quartet; and an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar A. and Anita A., nee Schaefer, Watschinger, a daughter, Elizabeth Watschinger and step granddaughter, Aspen Schnellbecher.

Surviving are his wife, Judith L., nee Thomas, Watschinger; his sons, Rodney Watschinger, Scott (Erika) Watschinger, Eric Watschinger; step children, Jim (Teresa) Ward, John (Brenda) Ward, Jan Ward (Tom Bruce), Joan Ward; grandchildren, Ashley and Leah Watschinger, Dillon Krause, Killian and Connor Watschinger; step grandchildren, Matt, Julie, Ryan, and Travis Ward, Corey and Jessica Wagner, Hannah Schnellbecher; and dear cousin, Marlene Walter and family.
