Lucile M. Hollingsworth

   Lucile M. “Lucy” Hollingsworth, nee Ladwig, 93, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 18, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Mar-Ka Nursing Home, Mascoutah, IL. 

    Lucy was a homemaker. She was an avid piano player and wrote poetry. She was a member of Christ of King Lutheran Church in Newberry Park, CA. Prior to that, she played piano for the junior choir at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks, Ca. 

   She is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Irma, nee Meyer, Ladwig, her husband, Charles S. Hollingsworth, son-in-law, Dennis Gore, brother, Dan Ladwig, and sister, Nancy Barlow. 

    Lucy is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Gore of Mascoutah, IL; two grandchildren, Kathleen (Phillip) Prather, Christopher (Lexi) Gore; great grandson, Calvin Prather.

    The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Mar-ka Nursing Home.
