Lorretta A Seering

Lorretta Seering, nee Sauerhage, 80, of Darmstadt, IL formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born July 9, 1937 in Mascoutah, IL died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.

She was a Homemaker, and a member of Holy Ghost United Church of Christ, Darmstadt, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Olinda, nee Beck, Sauerhage; her husband, Stanley Seering whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on Sept. 25, 1954 and who died Oct. 30, 2016; a son, Roger Seering; a granddaughter, Erin Seering; five brothers, Adrian, Ernest, Lawrence, Troy and Charles Sauerhage; and three sisters, Geraldine Steffen, Roma Walker, and Caroline McKinney.

Surviving are her children, Ronald A. Seering, Sr. of Hecker, IL, Shelia (Daryl) McBride of Randalia, IA, and Susan (Scott) Forgy of St. Libory, IL; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Seering of Mascoutah, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ralph) Biebel, Sara Seering, Paul Seering, Ronald Seering, Jr., Jeremy (Liza) Seering, Heather (Cory) Duncan, Tiffany (Andrew) Smith, Nathan McBride, Olivia McBride, Lillian Forgy, Caleb Forgy; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen Rueter of Mascoutah, IL; a brother, Ralph (Betty) Sauerhage of Oakdale, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at Holy Ghost United Church of Christ, 2806 Weilmuenster Rd, Darmstadt, IL 62255

Funeral: A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 AM Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at Holy Ghost United Church of Christ with Pastor Nancy Schubert officiating.  Burial will follow in Holy Ghost United Church of Christ Cemetery, Darmstadt, IL.
