Lee Young, age 86, of Bonne Terre, MO passed away Sept. 8, 2021. He was born June 23, 1935 to parents, Lester and Eva (Lee) Young in Paris, AR. The family moved to Crowder, MO where he graduated high school and met his future wife, Laura. Lee spent the bulk of his working career working in sales with the airline industry which took him the world over. Most notably, he made several trips to the Holy Land, flew super sonically on the Concord and visited the Great Wall of China. An avid sportsman, Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and traveling in his motor home.
Lee was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura of 67 years, his daughter, Robin, a sister, Lola and his parents.
Lee is survived by his son; Robert “Bob” Young (Susan Pauly); sister, Viola White of Russellville AR; six grandchildren, Lee Young, Trisha Young, Steven Young, Christina Dawson, Kris Bowles and Gary Bowles; four great grandchildren, Heather Gramm, Ceretta Dawson, Dutch Dawson and Ryker Bowles; in laws, whom he considered his blood relatives, Betty Smith, Peggy Whittom, Ronald “Mug” Sherry, Allen “Pete” Sherry, Gerald “Sooner” Sherry; and other friends and family.
Lee and Laura will be interred together privately attended by immediate family. Their burial sites are at the Three Rivers Cemetery of Farmington MO.
