Laveda Marie Gottschammer

LaVeda Marie Gottschammer, nee Collins, 101, of Fayetteville, IL, born Dec. 7, 1919 in Tilden, IL died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family.

LaVeda was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, auctions, Cardinals baseball and taking her afternoon naps with her fur baby, Lola. LaVeda especially looked forward to her birthday with family every year.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mida, nee Holeman, Collins, husband, Ralph A. Gottschammer whom she married in Waterloo, IL on Oct. 13, 1935 and who died Feb. 27, 1998, two daughters, Jacklyn, in infancy, Ruby Jolene Becker and a granddaughter, Jody Kay Becker.

Surviving are her daughter, Donna Hoyfield; two sons, Ralph Christy “Butch” (Sandra) Gottschammer, Robert (JoAnn) Gottschammer; eleven grandchildren, Tyann Fires, Clinton Beck, Randy (Rhea) Becker, Danny Jo (Michelle) Becker, Dawn Marie (Lloyd) Schenewerk, Ralph “Rich” (Shannon) Gottschammer, David Gottschammer, Jeremy (Chrissy) Gottschammer, Jennifer (Guy) Gamerdinger; 16 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and four great-great-great grandchildren.

Visitation: From 10 AM to 12 PM Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral :   A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at Moll Funeral Home. There will be a private family burial in Darmstadt Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
