Larry J. Nelson, 66, of New Baden, IL formerly of Mascoutah, IL born Oct. 2, 1953 in Chester, IL died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 in New Baden, IL.

He was a retired machine operator for Dan’s Tree Service, LLC.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold T. and Viola D., nee Bergheger, Nelson, a brother, Harold T. Nelson, Jr. and two sisters, Dorothy Kueker and Wilberta Nelson Krug.

Surviving are his sons, Daniel (Alexandria) Nelson of Ellis Grove, IL, Ted (Kathy) Dodson of Witt, IL, Dale Dodson of Mt. Olive, IL; a daughter, Trena (Keith) Statler of Hillsboro, IL; 12 grandchildren, Jada, Dani, Rhett and nine other along with great grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen (Tom) Mattern of Belleville, IL; and nieces and nephews.
