Kenneth A. Hamann, 93, of Mascoutah, IL born Jan. 30, 1928 in Belleville, IL died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Kenny was a retired owner and operator of the former Hamann Service Co. of Mascoutah, IL, a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, past 30 year member and chief of the Mascoutah Volunteer Fire Department, Board of Directors of Illinois Firefighters Assn., past president of Bi County Fireman’s Assn., Illinois Petroleum Marketers Assn., American Legion Post 292, V.F.W. Post 7682, Mascoutah Jaycees, Mascoutah Moose Lodge and was a U. S. Army Korean War veteran.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Emma, nee Friess, Hamann, his wife Jeanine, nee Seitz, Hamann whom he married in Mascoutah on Jan. 6, 1951 and who died Nov. 8, 1985, grandson, Matthew Hamann; sisters, Viola Tiberend, Dorothy Elless, and brothers, Leo, Lee, and Armin Hamann.
Kenny is survived by his son, Kent (Jeanne) Hamann of Mascoutah, IL; a grandson, Christopher (Taryn) Hamann; three great grandchildren, Samantha Cameron and fiance, Brendan, Hudson and Beau Hamann; three brothers, Harold (Joyce) Hamann, Ralph (Jeanne) Hamann, Leroy (Judy) Hamann; sister-in-law, Ethel Seitz; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation: From 4 to 8 PM Friday, June 11, 2021 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. There will be a 6 PM walk through by the Mascoutah Fire Company. Please follow social distancing guidelines and keep your visit brief so that all may pay their respects.
Funeral: A private funeral service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. John United Church with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery. Also, a “Celebration of Life” will be held at the American Legion Post 292 in Mascoutah, IL at 5 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
