Joyce Spicer

Joyce Spicer, nee Hinson, 80, of Belleville, IL, born Mar. 9, 1937 in Birmingham, England, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at her son’s home in Mascoutah surrounded by her loving family.

She was a retired property manager.

Joyce loved her Yorkies and her cat, Oliver.  She enjoyed her flowers and taking care of her yard.  She had an infectious sense of humor and always wore a smile.  Joyce was passionate about her family and was a wonderful loving mother and Nana.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Hinson and Eva Putley; and her husband, Charles A. “Tony” Spicer.

She is survived by her three children, Mark (Debra) Spicer of Mascoutah, IL, Grant Spicer of Belleville, IL, and Kimberly Spicer of Jamestown, NY; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sheila (Tony) Shakespeare of West Midland, England.
