Joyce A. Schoenherr, nee Koeller, 87, of St. Libory, IL born June 12, 1934 in St. Libory, IL died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, on her husband’s birthday, at Mar-Ka Nursing & Rehabilitation in Mascoutah, IL.
Joyce was a homemaker, a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality, and the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Libory, IL. Joyce was an exceptional shortstop during her younger days. She worked at the St. Liborius Rectory, taught First Grade religion, enjoyed gardening, golf, Cardinal baseball and mowing her lawn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Libory and Rosalie, nee Pranger, Koeller, her husband, Norbert Schoenherr, whom she married on Nov. 5, 1953 in St. Libory, IL and who died on June 24, 2007, a son, David Schoenherr (2015), a sister Norma (in infancy), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerome (LaVerne) Schoenherr, Clarence (Dorothy) Sandheinrich and Verlan “Buddy” Funk.
Surviving are her children, Jean (Bill) Behrmann, Ron (Robin) Schoenherr, Paul (Leann) Schoenherr, all of St. Libory, IL, Dennis (Pam) Schoenherr of Marissa, IL, Lisa (Tom) Conklin of Atlanta, GA; fourteen grandchildren, Eric (Tiffany) Behrmann, Ryan (Heather) Behrmann, Adam Behrmann, Kyle (Kammi) Behrmann, Amy (Matt) Stuttle, Angela Schoenherr, Dan Schoenherr, Steve Schoenherr, Mike Schoenherr, Kristen (Jon-Michael) Welch, Kara (Matt) Brake, Denae (fiancé Alex Heckenkemper) Schoenherr, Claire Conklin and Ava Conklin; five great grandchildren, Emma, Tyson, Andrew, Isabelle Behrmann, Kipton Stuttle and Judah Welch; two sisters, Virginia Funk, Dorothy (Roy) Mense; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: There will be a funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at St. Liborius Catholic Church with Father Paul Wienhoff celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Liborius Catholic Church Cemetery.
