Joseph V. Przygoda, 73, of Mt. Vernon, IL born March 23, 1948, in Pinckneyville, IL died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at Countryside Manor, Mt. Vernon, IL.
Joe graduated from Pinckneyville Community High School in 1966. He was a retired offset press operator for World Color Press. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon, IL, and a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2964 in Mt. Vernon, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph A. and Regina, nee Jozwiak, Przygoda, his wife, Beverly C., nee Kehrer, Przygoda, whom he married at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, IL on May 22, 1971, and who died on Jan. 10, 2021, two brothers, George and Donald Przygoda, two brothers-in-law, Eugene Pedtke, Gordon Kehrer, two sisters-in-law, Patricia Przygoda, Jacquelyn Karpel, and a nephew, Matthew Przygoda.
Joe is survived by two daughters, Angela (Curt) Anselment of Mt. Vernon, IL and Sarah (Nathan) Reyling of Dahlgren, IL; two grandchildren, Abby and Eric Reyling; five brothers, Raymond (Carol), James, Ralph (Margaret), Ronald (Margaret), Stanley (Laura) Przygoda; three sisters, Rosemary Jones, Jeanette Pedtke, Marie (Murray) Williams; three sisters-in-law, Judy and Megan Przygoda, Cindy Kehrer; one brother-in-law, Edward Karpel; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, IL with Father Gene Neff celebrating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, New Baden, IL.
