Josef Link, 71, of Belleville, IL, born Jan. 22, 1951, in Apatin, Yugoslavia died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah.
Josef was a machinist at the former Gene’s Crankshaft in Mascoutah and retired from the former M & D Auto Parts and Machine Shop in Freeburg. Josef was a U. S. Army veteran.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Link and Anna, nee Bless, Link Hammel, stepfather, Henry Hammel and brother-in-law, Eugene Munier.
Surviving are two sisters, Maria Munier of Mascoutah, IL, Eva (Larry) Kinzel of New Athens, IL, a niece, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Visitation: From 10:30 AM to 12 PM Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 12 noon Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Father Nick Fleming celebrating. A private burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
