Joann K. Arthur

Joann K. Arthur, nee Kelley, 98, of Mascoutah, IL, formerly of Boston, MA born July 6, 1923, in Mineola, NY died Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Aviston Countryside Manor.

Joann was a homemaker, a librarian at Eielson AFB, AK, and worked in the library at Scott AFB, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Leon and Madelon, nee Brasher, Kelley, her husband, Joseph F. Arhtur who died on Sept. 26, 1981, a son, Robert M. (Rosemarie) Arthur, great granddaughter, Erica M. Dickerson, a great-great grandson, Tristen Dolnick, a sister, Michelle Walbridge, a brother, Martin B. Kelley.

Surviving are her two daughters, Anne F. (Paul) Schorr of Mascoutah, IL, Jane (Kurt Corbin) Arthur of Tucson, AZ; three granddaughters, Karen (Matt) Lorenzen of House Springs, MO, Ramah Crowell of Mascoutah, IL, Laura Ray of Belleville, IL; one great granddaughter, Justine Crowell; a great-great grandson, Owen Schmidt; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Per Joann’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a private burial of her cremains will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
