Joan E. Loucks

Joan E. Loucks, nee Doebert, 78, of Cahokia, IL born Dec. 28, 1944, in Belleville, IL died Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Joan was a homemaker and a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin H. and Myrna E., nee Walthes, Doebert.

She is survived by her husband, Gary J. Loucks, Sr., whom she married on May 28, 1966; two sons, Gary Loucks, Jr., Joseph (Lisa) Loucks; three grandchildren, Caitlin and Zachary Loucks, John Smith; one sister, Janice Doebert; brother-in-law, Kevin (Linda) Loucks; sisters-in-law, Gail Barbara, and Edna; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

FUNERAL: A graveside service will be held 12 noon Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at Mascoutah City Cemetery with Rev. Todd Bean officiating.
