Janet L. Linkey, nee Kern, 82, of Trenton, IL formerly of Summerfield, IL born Sept. 17, 1938 in Franklin County, IL died Dec. 31, 2020 at Trenton Village Assisted Living, Trenton, IL.

Janet was a retired seamstress for Miss Elaine in O’Fallon and Bridal Original in Collinsville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arol C. and Edna V., nee Smith, Kern, husband, Robert L. Linkey whom she married in Freeburg, IL on Dec. 19, 1968 and who died July 18, 1999, four sons, Roy Grayson, Ray Linkey, Robert Linkey, Jr., Donnie Linkey, two daughters, Joy Scott, Ruth Stroder, sister, Jean (Frank) Gholson and brother, Wayne (Paulann) Kern.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Diane Nye, Jeanette Grayson, Cathy (Steve) Cheney; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral: There will be a graveside service 2:30 PM Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 in Summerfield Cemetery with Jack Spratte officiating.
