Janet I. Heberer, nee Bayles, 92, of Waterloo, IL formerly of Mascoutah, IL born Feb. 18, 1932, in Hastings, NE died Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Oak Hill in Waterloo, IL.
Janet was a homemaker, a loving mother and wife. She attended 4-H House at the University of Illinois. Janet was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL, and past member of Zonta International.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marion, nee Harrison, Bayles, her husband, Robert D. Heberer, whom she married on July 19, 1953, in Pekin, IL and who died on Nov. 9, 2019, a son, Robert “Rob” Heberer II, brother, James Bayles, a son-in-law, Dennis Graul, two sisters-in-law, Mary Kaye Richter and Joni Reilly.
Surviving are three children, Kathleen (Edward) Weilbacher of Waterloo, IL, James (Mary) Heberer of Millstadt, IL, Julie (Rick Vernier) Heberer of Okawville, IL; grandchildren, John (Lyndsy) Weilbacher, Elizabeth “Rosie” (Robert) Betz; great-grandsons, Logan and Evan Betz; grandsons, Andrew (Carrie) Matecki, Timothy Matecki; and great-grandchildren, Chase, Jackson and Presley Matecki; three nephews, Michael (Jennifer) Richter, Charles Richter, James Bayles; a niece, Sharon (Dr. J.B.) Grimes; and brother-in-law, Norman Richter.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held 3 PM Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Moll Funeral Home. A private burial in Lake View Memorial Gardens will be at a later date.
