Gloria L. Andres, nee Clayton, 92, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 24, 1925 in O’Fallon, IL, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.
She was a homemaker; member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah; St. John Afternoon Guild; St. John Fireside Club; the Red Hat Society; Tuesday Night Card Club; and past charter member of the Mascoutah Lioness Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Iola, nee Foster, Clayton; a son, Bruce Andres, and a sister, Colleen Bomar.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Vernon Andres whom she married in O’Fallon, IL on Sept. 18, 1947; three children, Paul (Candy) Andres of Mascoutah, IL, Gail (Bruce) Owen of Mascoutah, IL, Clay (Wendy) Andres of Freeburg, IL; six grandchildren, Chad Andres, Cynthia (Brent) Yokley, Rhett (Laura) Owen, Ethan (Leana) Owen, Joshua (Jenna) Andres, and Kaitlin (Mikal) Guffey; a step-granddaughter, Cassie (Steve) Schubert; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Doris Andres; a niece, Janis (Bob) Howard; and other nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL; and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at St. John United Church of Christ with The Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Interment will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
