Elaine L. Markus

Elaine L. (Mueller), Markus, 53, of Albers, IL born July 12, 1965 in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh, IL.

Elaine worked as a newspaper carrier and for Antolin.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.  Elaine enjoyed playing pool, riding horses, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ida Mae, nee Harms, Mueller, and a sister, Kathleen Scanlan.

She is survived by her children, David “DJ” (Michelle) Markus, Jr. of Breese, IL, Jacqueline Markus of Ballwin, MO, Danielle (Jason) Richter of Breese, IL, and Ralph “Eric” Pasquale of Trenton, IL; 10 grandchildren, Jayden, Dalton, Zayda, Kaitlynn, Addison, Aiden, Wyatt, Lane, Brody, Weston, and one on the way; a sister, JoAnn (Willis) Harris of Stone Church, IL; a brother, Daniel Mueller of Brunswick, GA; a brother-in-law, Gerald Scanlan of Venedy, IL; and a great aunt, Katherine Joe (Dale) Trinka of Lebanon, IL.

Visitation: from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 10 to 11 AM Saturday, Dec. 1 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in New Memphis, IL.

Funeral: a funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday. Dec. 1, 2018 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Harris officiating.  Burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
