Eileen L. Sorge

Eileen L. Sorge, nee Brown, 65, of Belleville, IL born Apr. 2, 1957, in St. Louis, MO died Friday, Nov 18, 2022, at her home.

Eileen retired as a programmer from Edward Jones.  Throughout her years at Edward Jones, her colleagues became her friends and family. Eileen courageously overcame her battle with skin cancer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. and Mary E., nee Otto, Brown, brother, Gary Brown, and a sister, Sue Hess.

Surviving are her husband, Alan M. Sorge; six children, Joshua (Yanbo) Sorge, Laura (Daniel) Johnson, Linnea Sorge, Christine (Jim) Gettis, Michael Sorge, Mike Erard; 10 grandchildren, Claire, Atticus, Elijah Sorge, Alexandra Johnson, Julia, Lilly, Delilah, Penny Gettis, Anders and Grace Sorge; sister-in-law, Linda Brown; brother-in-law, Joe Hess; niece, Kari Pillow; nephew, Jeff Hess; and her longtime friend, Sue Poley.

Visitation: From 10 AM to 12 PM Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 12 PM Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at Moll Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Athony officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.
