Edward A. Jesenick, 95, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 22, 1925 in Mascoutah, IL, died Monday, June 21, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
Eddie was a retired fireman from Scott AFB and retired fireman and EMT from Melvin Price Support Center in Granite City, and in his early years was employed at the former Morley Stove Manufacturing in Mascoutah. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah and a WW II U.S. Navy veteran. Eddie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and a very enthusiastic athlete his entire life.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Julia, nee Zupancic, Jesenick, a brother, Ernest Jesenick, two half brothers, Rudy and Leo Jesenick and a half sister, Ann Clements.
Surviving are his wife, Irma E., nee Klein, Jesenick whom he married in Mascoutah, IL on Dec. 30, 1953; his children, Gail (Kenneth) Malter, Karen (Eric) Kurkey, Gary Jesenick, Kevin Jesenick; two grandchildren, Lyann Malter and Cory Kurkey; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Visitation: From 4 to 7 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Paul Wienhoff celebrating. Burial with military honors will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
