Doris E Valerius

Doris Evelyn Valerius, nee Pfeiffer, 86, of Belleville, IL born July 22, 1934 in Belleville, IL died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

Doris was a retired deputy clerk from San Bernardino County, California Municipal Court. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Fairview Heights, a former member of Bellettes Drum and Bugle Corps and a 1951 graduate of Belleville Township High School. Doris and her late husband Roger, travelled extensively from 1966-1969 throughout Europe, during Roger’s assignment in Germany with the U. S. Air Force.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Margaret, nee Belcour, Pfeiffer, husband, Roger Valerius who died Feb. 11, 2013, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Lou (Donald) Krausz and great nephew, Ben Krausz.

Doris is survived by a nephew, Daniel (Lisa) Krausz, nieces, Danette (Michael) Wesselmann, Deanna (Robert) Miley; great nieces and nephews, JaneAnne (Gene) Holten, Thomas (Catherine) Wesselmann, Kevin (MacKenzie) Wesselmann, Donald (Stauncy) Urban, Danielle Urban; and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation: There will be no visitation.

Funeral: A private funeral service will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with Pastor Jeff Hemmer officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL
