Donna E. Grodeon

Donna E. Grodeon, nee Legler, 90 of Mascoutah, IL, born Feb. 5, 1934, in Mason City, IA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Brightly Senior Living in Mascoutah.

Donna worked alongside her husband, Keith, for over 50 years at State Farm Insurance in Mascoutah and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She also loved travelling with family and several different groups of close friends.  She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, member and past president of Zonta Club of Belleville, Mascoutah Tuesday Women’s Club for over 25 years, member and past president of Mascoutah Library Board and she loved to sing in the church choir.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nora, nee Scobee, Legler and sister, Shirley Carrillo Tyree.

Donna is survived by her husband, Keith Grodeon whom she married in Mascoutah on Jan. 1, 1953; her daughters, Kim (Brent) Bergheger, Lisa (Bill) McDonald, Amy (Brad) Albrecht; 11 grandchildren, Allison (Robert) Bornheimer, Courtney (John) Felder, Katie (Cody) Mitchel, Megan (Ryan) Doubrava, Josh (Joni) McDonald, Jason (Juline) McDonald, Rachel (James) Messick, Ryan (Lindsay) McDonald, Kylie, Quin, and Nate Albrecht; 20 great grandchildren, Nolan, Decklyn, Ledger, Isaiah, Levi, Colt, Beau, Colin, Peyton, Brody, Cooper, Everly, Miles, Owen, Ezra, Gordon, Dax, Livi, Drew and Summer; brother-in-law, Brent Grodeon; sister-in-law, Lynette Bass; and nieces and nephews.

Donna’s family is very grateful for the loving care she has received from the Brightly Senior Living family.

VISITATION: From 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL and from 9 to 10 AM Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah with Rev. Cherie Hambleton officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
