Donald T Bergkoetter

Donald T. Bergkoetter, 86, of Lively Grove, IL, born March 7, 1938, in Lively Grove Twp., IL died Monday, April 8, 2024, at his farm.

Donald retired from Monsanto in St. Louis after 34 years of employment as an electrician and instrumentation technician and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL and Chemical Workers Union.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Aloys and Frances, nee Behrmann, Bergkoetter, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and a nephew.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Margaret H., nee Bucher, Bergkoetter; children, Donald T. Bergkoetter, Jr., Deanna (Thomas) Wilson, David A. (Marsha) Bergkoetter; four grandchildren, Frances Bergkoetter, Drew Mueller, Peter Wilson, Anthony “Jack” Wilson; great granddaughter, Korra Mueller; siblings, Virgil Bergkoetter, Joan Schlangen, Robert Bergkoetter, Dean (Dorothy) Bergkoetter, Richard Bergkoetter; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

VISITATION:  From 4 PM to 7 PM Thursday, April 11, 2024, and 9 to 10 AM Friday, April 12 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL.

FUNERAL:  A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lively Grove with Father Christopher Anyawu celebrating. Burial with U. S. Army military honors will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
