Dennis L. Trentman

Dennis L. Trentman, 80, of Smithton, IL, formerly of St. Libory, IL born March 20, 1937 in St. Libory, IL, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at his residence.

He was a retired custodian from the St. Liborius Catholic Church and St. Libory School.  He was also a member of the St. Liborius Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Veronica Pruett, nee Luecking; his father, Vincent Trentman; a brother, Roger Trentman; two sisters, Norma Jean Hammann and Karen Sanders; and two grandchildren, Kayla Vogel and Xavier Belt.

Surviving are his eight children, Barbara (Scott) Sheeley of St. Charles, MO, Cynthia Trentman of Milliken, CO, Judith (Lee) Wilson of St. Libory, IL, Denise (Matt) Beaverson of Longview, TX, Timothy Trentman of Freeburg, IL, Melanie (Bryan) Belt of Smithton, IL, Neal (Jaime) Trentman of Smithton, IL, and Benjamin (Deanne) Trentman of Metamora, IL; seventeen  grandchildren, Alecia (Gary) Hammen, Delaina (Jake) Root, Ivy (Joe) Pitts, Keaton Haas, Marcus Hahn, Sabra (Chelsea) Baker, Dennis and Alex Trentman, Bradford, Chandler, and Patrick Belt, James, Julian, AnnMarie, and Grace Trentman, Sydney and Allison Trentman; four great-grandsons, Bennett and Levi Root, Emmett and Vincent Hammen; three brothers, Wayne (Lucille) Trentman of St. Libory , IL, Larry (Roxanne) Pruett of Nashville, IL, and Randy Pruett of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Elena (Bobby) Johnson of Rocky Mount, NC, and Elaine (Ron) Schaefer of Belleville, IL, a sister-in-law, Mary Trentman of St. Libory, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday Nov. 30, 2017 and 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 1, 2017 at St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory, IL.  A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at the church.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at St. Liborius Catholic Church with Father Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, IL.
