Daniel J. Bagby

   Daniel J. Bagby, 79, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 30, 1945, in Belleville, IL died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center, Lebanon, IL. 

   Dan retired as a Major from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, past vice president of the Mascoutah Sportsman’s Club, and the Thursday night golf league at the Orchards in Belleville. Dan enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing with Eddie Hulliung, golfing, and playing cards. 

   He his preceded in death by his parents, Alvin C. and Mary Erma, nee Von Nida, Bagby.

   Dan is survived by his wife, Rae Jean, nee Frerking, Bagby; son, Brandon (Heather) Bagby of Woodstock, GA; step children, Scott and Shannon; two granddaughters, Alexis and Addison Bagby; five step grandchildren, Emery, Gracie, Bobby, Reagan, and Maverick Frerking; brother-in-law, Dean Frerking and fiancé, Jeanette Evans; also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

   VISITATION: From 4 to 8 PM Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL.

   FUNERAL: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Mark Stec celebrating. Burial with military honors will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
