Constance E. “Connie” Shildt, nee Huelskoetter, 75, of Mascoutah, IL born Oct. 2, 1948, in Breese, IL died Thursday, July 4, 2024, at marka Nursing Home.
Constance received her bachelor’s degree from Park College and a dual master’s degree from Webster University, she retired from her position as Comptroller of the Air Force Communications Agency, at Scott AFB in 2003, after 36 years of civil service. She was actively involved in the women’s movement and served as a chair of The Federal Women’s Program and co-founder of a local chapter of Federally Employed Women’s Program, both of which helped women progress in their civil service careers.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Alma, nee Knobeloch, Huelskoetter, her husband, Colonel Robert A. Shildt, Jr., her sister, Natalie Reiske, and brother, Ronald Huelskoetter.
She is survived by her stepsons, Dr. Richard Shildt, Steven Shildt, and Todd Shildt and their families, her sisters, Marian Funk and Betty Ann Whelan and their families, and the surviving families of Natalie and Ronald.

Connie has requested no visitation and a private family Celebration of Life. Her wishes were for her body to be donated to Washington University School of Medicine.
