Anita H. Kessler

Anita H. Kessler, nee Perschbacher, 91, of Freeburg, IL, born Aug. 22, 1930 in Freeburg Twp., IL died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021 at Freeburg Care Center.

Anita was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Freeburg, IL and American Legion Post 550 Ladies Auxiliary, Freeburg, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elisa, nee Richter, Perschbacher, her husband, Floyd E. Kessler whom she married on Sept. 10, 1950 in Belleville and who died July 30, 2010 and a daughter, Jeanine Eckenrode.

Anita is survived by her children, Susan (Elmer) Frentzel of Troy, MO, Helen (John) Vidmar of Mt. Vernon, IL, John Kessler of Belleville, IL, Ann (Michael) Lossau of Freeburg, IL; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Trina (Deric), Adam, Catherine; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Wayne) Feig; and nieces and nephews.

of Christ in Freeburg, IL.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ with Pastor Earl Crecelius officiating.  Burial will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
