David P. Weber, 63, of Lively Grove, IL, born August 8, 1954 at Fort Chafee Army Base in Fort Smith, AR, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Washington County Hospital, Nashville, IL.
David grew up in Normal, IL and graduated from Normal Community High School in 1972. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in industrial technology from Illinois State University in 1978. He joined the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers (Local Lodge 60, Morton, IL) in 1977 and remained an active member his entire career. He spent the last 31 years at Dynegy, most recently serving as manager of welding programs and working with Dynegy employees, contractors, and industry experts at electric power plants throughout the state.
An avid outdoorsman, David was a successful tournament bass fisherman and an award-winning archer and bow-hunter who traveled throughout the United States and Canada hunting mule deer, white-tailed deer, antelope, caribou, wild boar and black bear. He also loved road cycling and regularly participated in organized events and individual challenges, including cycling the length of Illinois and Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi.
He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Audrey, nee Thilmany, Weber and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Waller.
Surviving are his wife, Donna, nee Waller, Weber whom he married at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove on July 22, 1994; three sisters, Susan (Roger) Hess of Metamora, IL, Ann (Tom) Powers of Cincinnati, OH, Rebecca (Layne) Brown of Peoria, IL; a brother, Thomas (Janelle) Weber of Lexington, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Art) Wienstroer, David Waller, Jerry Waller, Paula Waller, Glen (Donna) Waller, George Waller; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation: visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, September 10, 2017 and 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday, September 11 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL. A prayer service will be held 4 PM Sunday afternoon at the church.
Funeral: a funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove with Father Tad Gegotek officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Lively Grove, IL.
