Andrew A. Kramper, 83, of St. Libory, IL, born Dec. 14, 1933 at home in Fayetteville Township, IL, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at his son’s home surrounded by his loving family.
Andy was a retired dairy farmer; a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory; St. Clair County Farm Bureau; past member of the St. Liborius Parish Council, past board member and president of St. Libory Grade School, past member of the St. Clair County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Andy took great pride serving on the Board of Directors for St. Clair Service Co. for 25 years and as their president for 9 of those years. He also served in the U. S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mathilda, nee Lange, Kramper; his wife, Marian, nee Tonnies, Kramper whom he married at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers, IL on Nov. 7, 1961 and who died Sept. 20, 1988; a son, Dean Kramper; brothers-in-law, Ralph Rakers, and Melvin Luebbers; sister-in-law, Michelle Yeager; two nephews, Ron Wennemann, and Patrick Sale.
He is survived by his son, Aaron (Melanie) Kramper of St. Libory, IL; three grandchildren, Zachary (Lauren) Kramper of Mascoutah, IL, Megan Kramper and friend Joe Stabinsky of Chesterfield, MO, and Alex Kramper and friend Taylor Haskins of St. Libory, IL; a great-grandchild, Avery Marian Kramper (“The Kid”); his dearest friend, Carol Brauer; two brothers, Leo (LaVerne) Kramper of St. Libory, IL, and Maurice (Carol) Kramper of Highland, IL, three sisters, Helen Rakers of Belleville, IL, Clara Luebbers of St. Peters, MO, and Loretta (Ray) Wennemann of Belleville, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elaine (Dennis) Behrmann of Albers, IL, Steven (Susan) Tonnies of Albers, IL, Kathleen (John) Frerker of Breese, IL, Carol (Patrick) Hitpas of Breese, IL, Robert (Donna) Tonnies of Vero Beach, FL, Russell (Kim) Tonnies of Brentwood, TN, Eric (Linda) Tonnies of Albers, IL, and Ric Yeager of Sycamore, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; and Carol Brauer’s children, Keith, Craig, and Donna.
Andy lived a full life and enjoyed working side by side with his son and family. He enjoyed going out to eat breakfast, bowling, and his favorite pastime was Cardinals baseball games. He truly loved the simple things in life. He especially enjoyed the family’s new addition “The Kid”, as he called her.

Visitation: visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory, IL. A prayer service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at the church.
Funeral: a funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory with Father Paul Wienhoff officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, IL.
