Betty Ward

Betty “Irish Betty” Ward, nee Callan, 86, of Albany, OR, born November 21, 1930 in Ireland, died Thursday, June 15, 2017, at her daughter’s residence in Mascoutah, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Catherine, nee McBride, Callan, her husband, Michael Ward whom she married in Castle Blaney, Ireland and who died June 2, 2000, four brothers, Jack, Gerard, Neil, Cyril Callan and a sister, Hyacinth Mooney.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Peggy) Ward of Brooklyn, NY, Catherine (Mark) Jarvis of Mascoutah, IL, Sharon Iademarco of Albany, OR;  grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Ward, Jennifer Ward, Kyle (Samantha) Jarvis, Savannah (Kody) Presswood, Cullen Jarvis, Taylor Iademarco and Michael Iademarco; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Jarvis and Avery Ward; two sisters, Cissy Gillespie and Monica McConnon both of Ireland; and a brother, Eamon Callan of Brooklyn, NY.

Funeral: A Memorial Mass will be held 10 AM Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Albany, OR. Burial will be at 3 PM Friday, July 28, 2017 in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR.
