Joseph H. Lang

Joseph H. Lang, 86, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 1, 1930 in Mascoutah, IL, died Thursday, Apr. 27, 2017 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah.

He was a retired customer engineer from IBM; a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; American Legion Post 292, Mascoutah; C K & L of I; AARP; and a US Navy Korean War veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Magdalen, nee Grimmer, Lang; his wife, Anna, nee Wesselmann, Lang whom he married in Mascoutah, IL on Nov. 27, 1952 and who died Apr. 2, 1996; two brothers, Wilbert and Raymond Lang; a sister-in-law, Arlene Lang; and a brother-in-law, Delmar “Dutch” Walter.

Surviving are his children; Gregory (Margie) Lang of Mascoutah, Linda Lang of Mascoutah, Thomas (Cheryl) Lang of Mascoutah, David Lang of Mascoutah, Laura (Michael) Nimrichter of Knoxville, TN, and Lucy (Kerry) Downing of Mascoutah; 19 grandchildren, Michael and Richard Lang, Lisa Zapp, Amy Komrska, Andrew Thompson, Cory Haruska, Nicholas, Kara, Chè, and David John Lang, Sandy Holder, Daniel, Jeremy, and Bradley Lang, Sarah and Erin Nimrichter, Carly Hoffman, Renee and Ava Romano; 13 great-grandchildren, Austin and Riley Komrska, Lucas, Dexter, and Ella Thompson, Lily Pflasterer, Eli and Camden Lang, Henry and Benton Holder, Catherine Lang, Haley and Isla Hoffman; a sister, Mary Ann Walter of Mascoutah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday April 30, 2017 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.  A prayer service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Monday, May 1, 2017 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Father Paul Wienhoff officiating.  Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery in Mascoutah.
