Margaret L. Leonhardt

Margaret L. Leonhardt, nee Knapp, 89, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 12, 1927 in Mascoutah, IL, died Friday, Apr. 7, 2017 at MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Margaret was a retired seamstress from Martha Manning Dress Factory in Mascoutah; and member of United Garment Workers Union.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edmund Adam Knapp; her mother, Johanna Louisa, nee Pannier, Ohl; her stepfather, Oliver Ohl; three husbands, Earl Leonhardt, Homer A. Linder, and William R. Kelley; two children, Wayne E. Kelley, and Pamela S. Linder; four brothers, Wilbur J. Knapp, Richard B. Knapp, Ralph G. Knapp, and Robert R. Palmer; and a sister, Cleo Palmer.

She is survived by seven children, William R. Kelley, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, Patricia (Michael) Powell of St. Louis, MO, Jeff R. Linder of Mascoutah, IL, Richard (Joan) Linder of Broken Arrow, OK, Robert Linder of Freeburg, IL, John (Cheryl) Linder of Fayetteville, IL, and Joel (Linda) Linder of Addieville, IL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral: a graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 22, 2017 at Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL with Pastor Jack Spratte officiating.
