Raymond Kueker, 85, of Mascoutah, IL born June 22, 1931 in Walsh, IL died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital.
He was a retired truck driver from ABF Freight System where he was employed for 35 years, a U. S. Army Korean War veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star V Device. Ray was a member of Union Methodist Church, Belleville, IL; Mascoutah Evening Lions Club; American Legion Post 292, Mascoutah, IL; V.F.W. Post 1888, Trenton, IL; Teamsters Local 600, St. Louis, MO; board member and treasurer for the Mascoutah Senior Center; served the city of Mascoutah for 20 years; former city councilman for eight years; served on the city Planning Commission and was the former city building inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Tillie, nee Eggemeyer, Kueker, his first wife, Dorothy J., nee Nelson, Kueker, three brothers, Ervin, Melbert, and Archie Kueker and a sister, Adeline Bierman.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy A., nee Perschbacher, Trout Kueker whom he married in Mascoutah, IL on June 17, 1989; stepsons, David (Julie) Trout and Rick (Connie) Trout, both of Freeburg, IL; four grandchildren, Mathew (Amber) Trout, Jessica Trout, Ashley Trout, Austin (Ari) Trout; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Colton and Noah Raymond Trout; sisters-in-law, Alice Kueker and Jeanette (Elgee) Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials in memory of Ray may be given to Mascoutah Evening Lions for Leader Dog Training or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com .
Visitation: From 4 PM to 8 PM Wed. March 29, 2017 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Thurs. March 30, 2017 at Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Krumeich officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
