Iona Marie Wolf

Iona M. Wolf, nee Richter, 81, of Lebanon, IL born Feb. 9, 1936 in Breese, IL, died Thursday, Mar. 2, 2017 at Aviston Countryside Manor, Aviston, IL.

She was retired from Bergmann-Taylor Seed Co. and previously worked for Mon-Clair Grain. Iona was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon and Women’s Fellowship of St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Edna, nee Schoene, Richter, her husband, Vernon O. Wolf whom she married in Summerfield, IL on May 28,1955 and who died April 12, 2006, a son Glen “Beaner” Wolf, a brother, Arthur Richter and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Amelia, nee Poos, Wolf.

Surviving are her sons, Steven (Marg) Wolf of Monee, IL, Roger (Diane) Wolf of Chilhowee, MO; a daughter, Cynthia Wolf of Lake Bluff, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer (Aaron) Beckmann and Justin Wolf; step-granddaughter, Katy (Joachim) Gonzales  great-grandson, Elias Beckmann; brother, Norman (Mary) Richter Trenton, IL; sister, Doris (Alan) Peters of LaSalle, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Richter of O’ Fallon, IL, Anita Sutherland of St. Louis, MO,  Shirleen (Tom) Kimber of Hazelwood, MO, Lida (Marvin) Berberich of Trenton, IL; and nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 AM Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, Mar. 6, 2017 at St. Paul United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Don Wagner officiating.  Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
