Carl A. Kehrer, 92, of New Memphis, IL, born in New Memphis, IL, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Clinton Manor Living Center, New Baden, IL.
Carl was a retired farmer, laborer, and roofer. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church, New Baden, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph S. and Anna, nee Rinker, Kehrer; his wife, Catherine A., nee Christ, Kehrer whom he married in Mascoutah, IL on Feb. 16, 1949 and who died April 17, 2014; a daughter, Phyllis Maberry, infant children, Mary Beth, Dianne, Christine, and Thomas Kehrer; four brothers, Roland, Russell, Elmer and Erwin Kehrer; and three sisters, Rachel Renth, Ruth Boad, and Carolyn Christ.
He is survived by four children, Robert (Collette) Kehrer of New Memphis, IL, Jane (Kent) Uhles of Okawville, IL, Joseph (Dawn) Kehrer of New Memphis, IL, and Anne Kehrer of New Memphis, IL; 11 grandchildren, Shannon (Brandon) Brammeier, Brandon (Katie) Maberry, Kevin (Carrie) Kehrer, Chris (special friend Chloe) Kehrer, Kerry (special friend Paige) Kehrer, Corrie Kehrer, Luke Uhles, Trenna (Kyle) Kehrer-Laux, Brant (special friend Brooke) Kehrer, Katie Kehrer, and Ashtyn (special friend Michael) Kehrer; eight great-grandchildren, Brennan, Markus, Brielle, Isabella, and Cohl Kehrer, Denym and Creed Laux, and Oliver Maberry; son-in-law, Eddie Maberry; two sisters-in-law, LaVerta Christ and Esther Kehrer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: There will be no visitation.
Funeral: a private funeral Mass will be held at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, IL with Father Gene Neff officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
