Patria A. Baron nee Abia, 84, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 2, 1932 in the Philippines, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at her daughter’s residence.
Patria was a homemaker; school teacher; and a medical transcriber. She loved spending time with her family and playing the piano. She will be sadly missed by all, but mostly by her best friend, her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luciano and Gavina, nee Aguijon, Abia; a son in infancy; a grandson, Sean Baron; four brothers and a sister.
Surviving are her husband, Cipriano Dadia Baron, Jr. whom she married in the Philippines; her children, Cipriano Babon III of Mascoutah, IL, Emanuel (Gregory Saffa) Baron of Chicago, IL, Luciano (Rosemarie) Baron of Bolingbrook, IL, Maria Rosario (Robert) Santos of Mascoutah, IL, Maria Caridad (Robert) Borgerson of Chicago, IL, Mark Christopher (Rosalinda) Babon of Westchester, IL; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Purita (Rudy) Maraya of San Francisco, CA, Precy (Jim) Sanderson of Fremont, CA; and a brother, Antonio (Lea Della) Abia of Las Vegas, NV.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday Jan. 27, 2017 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with Father Carlos M. Bohorquez officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
