Albert Roger Scalf, 84, of Mascoutah, IL, born Jan. 25, 1932, in Nashville, TN, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at his residence.
Albert was a retired Lt. Col. from the U. S. Air Force and a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Cannon and Wendt Electric in Phoenix, AZ, where he worked as an electrical engineer, estimator, and project manager and retired as Vice President in 1993. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church, and life member of the Disabled American Veterans, VFW, KWVA and American Legion.
Besides spoiling his beloved cats, Albert was an avid reader of history and loved working with computers. He was at the forefront bringing them into the electrical contracting market, writing electrical estimating programs and using them for project management.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maude, nee Allen, Scalf; four brothers, Mac, Tom, Evans, and Frank Scalf; one son, Richard Scalf; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Scalf.
Albert is survived by his wife, Vicky, nee Baechle, Scalf who he married in Phoenix, AZ on June 20, 1981; four children, Malcolm Scalf, Edward (LeDonna) Scalf, and Diane Scalf, all of Nashville, TN; and Barbara (Kent) Stairley of Summerville, SC; and numerous grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A memorial Mass will be held 10 AM Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Father Paul Wienhoff and Deacon Andrew Lintker officiating. Albert donated his body to St. Louis University School of Medicine for scientific study.Holy Childhood Catholic Church
